In 2000, he was posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for science and technology, a street in the capital Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City is named after him. The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is located on Nguyen Van Huyen Street, a junior high school in the countryside of Hoai Duc district, Ha Tay province and a boarding school in Hanoi has been named Nguyen Van Huyen School... that is the affection and favor of the people, the Party and the State for him, recognizing the great contribution of a great scientist and great personality.
The school was established with the desire to summarize the pedagogical experience of a family rich in educational traditions, with the motto of bringing advanced pedagogical knowledge and achievements in the world to the young generation of Vietnam, bringing education towards the harmonious development of personality, intelligence, physical strength and aesthetics for the future owners of the country.
Regarding the training program, the school complies with the standard program according to the Ministry of Education and Training and supplement knowledge through the school's own training program. The program to enrich knowledge, skills, and life values, was taught by the school in the day-boarding program, and became an exclusive program of the school. In the new school year 2013-2014, the school implemented an international English program with the aim of improving the quality of training, as well as keeping up with the development trend of technology and foreign languages in education.
After more than 20 years of operation and study since its establishment, Nguyen Van Huyen School has gradually affirmed the educational tradition as well as the development of the young generation in Vietnam with the motto: COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION FOR AN ALMIGHTY GENERATION.
